Vitaminstore Halve van Haarlem || September 24th 2017

halve van haarlem

The 33rd edition of the Halve van Haarlem will take place on September 27th, 2017. Both the start and finish are on the beautiful square in Haarlem, de Grote Markt.

Fingers crossed the weather conditions will be optimal for all runners on this midsummers evening. There are a number of distances to choose from besides the infamous half marathon, 21 km. You can also run 10km, 5km, and 1,4km for children between 6 and 12 years old. The 10km, for example, takes you through Haarlem and past Elswout along that wonderful avenue with its 7 little bridges. It is a tough route but the scenery makes up for that.

Are you thinking of participating in a running event in September? Then this is one event that you simply cannot miss, especially if you live in or around Haarlem. There will be hundreds of locals cheering you on along the route which takes you through the lively streets of Haarlem and further into the spectacular Dutch countryside/dunes and back again. You can run as an individual or as part of a team with your company. If you have a company team you can take advantage of the facilities in the Philharmonie (Philharmonic concert hall) where tea and coffee and snacks will be available while your team photo is taken.

This event is known for its excellent organisation, there will be between 50 and 70 volunteers helping out on the day to ensure that everything runs smoothly, pardon the pun. There will be more than enough First Aid areas along the route. And all this for a relatively low registration fee which also includes a 361 t-shirt. 361, an international sports brand is one of the sponsors this year together with SportSupport. So don’t hesitate and register today via www.halvevanhaarlem.nl You won’t be disappointed.
