Bevrijdingspop

Haarlem is celebrating freedom with Bevrijdingspop.

On May 4th and May 5th, Haarlem is going to be celebrating freedom with a music festival called bevrijdingspop throughout the city.

The city of Haarlem celebrates freedom in the festival called Bevrijdingspop.  The freedom festival was started in 1980 by Ilco van der Linde and has become the largest free outdoor festival in the Netherlands. Approximately 150,000 people, young and old, visit the festival each year.

Memorial Concert

On May 4th, in the Haarlemmerhout a memorial concert takes place. This year, the Kennemer Youth Orchestra accompanies the main stage of Bevrijdingspop, Yorick van Norden and Dutch soprano, Charlotte Riedijk.  The concert starts promptly at 8pm.

Bevrijdingspop

On May 5th, local talent and national acts will perform throughout the city. It will be a day of music, fun and activities. Find out more information about the day and to see stage locations and who is performing here.
