If 15 years ago, the average cup size was 75B, now it has grown to 80C. A third of European women (30 percent) has cup size D or bigger.
This results from a research for lingerie chain Hunkemöller, which was conducted by GfK.
Dutch women are at the third place in Europe when it comes to big bosoms, over 33 percent have cup D or larger. The absolute number one in Europe is England, where 57 percent of the female population has cup D or larger. Denmark is with a percentage of 50% number two.
The reason because European bosoms increase in volume has not been studied.
Wrong cup size
Moreover, women seem to barely keep up with the change. Over 80 percent of women wear the wrong bra size, the survey showed.
A “cleavage decollete” fits well to the fashion for the next season. Not only by letting catwalk fuller models, but also had the clothes themselves regularly highlighted the bust.
