Brewery Tour De Prael Houthavens Amsterdam

Take a guided tour to get an insight into the beer brewing process and taste a specialty beer of this popular beer brewery with a mission.

Brouwerij de Prael is a cafe brewery located in Amsterdam. Visit the the brewing installation in which the beer is prepared for the fermentation an beer bottles are filled in a bottle, keg or in the tap tank and taste a delicious specialty and special beer!

This brewery was founded in 2001 by Arno Kooy and Fer Kok with the plan to brew beer and thereby give people distanced from the labour market the opportunity to work. De Prael stands for much more than just beer. People & beer, a perfect combination. That’s why we have chosen De Prael as the brewery to visit.

The brewery is located in a cozy venue where visitors can enjoy a variety of De Prael’s beers, as well as a selection of other drinks and snacks. The relatively large range of beers varies in taste, colour and alcohol content. The brewery brews not only Dutch and Belgian styles, but also German ones such as Kölsch. There are also seasonal beers.

The tour starts at 6:10 PM.

Costs: Ticket + 1 specialty beer: €9,95. All ticket costs are given to the Brewery.

DUTCH TO THE RESCUE

with Greg Shapiro, The American Netherlander.

Who do you call when you need a sea wall? The Dutch.

Which country’s thriving with sea levels rising? The Dutch.

Who brings you luck when your container ship’s stuck? The Dutch.

When it comes to Climate Change, the Netherlands has a lot of answers to world’s challenges. But they don’t like to talk about it. Yes, Dutch people are producing the world’s first solar-powered car, creating lab-grown meat, cleaning up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch… but they don’t like to brag. The Netherlands is like a superhero obsessed with their secret identity.

Enter The American Netherlander! Greg Shapiro is Dutch enough to be proud of the Netherlands – and American enough to not care how loud he is about it.

DUTCH TO THE RESCUE is Greg Shapiro’s seventh solo show. Previous shows include Leaving Trumpland and How to Be Orange.
