How to celebrate the festive period in Haarlem

December is here! To some its the most wonderful time of the year. This is what the city of Haarlem is up to during this festive period.

Haarlems Winterbier Festival

Come and enjoy the Haarlems Winter Beer Festival on the 9th & 10th December. With more than 20 different beers from home and abroad! The festival is being held at the Boereplein behind the  Jopenkerk Haarlem, entirely in Christmas style in a large decorated tent. A nice place to enjoy (wintry) beers and a nice snack.

Buy a ticket for the starter package online: € 20. Package contents: 6 coins, Haarlems Winter beer Festival glass, bottle of chaudfontaine blue and a pen.

A ticket is valid for 1 starter pack and can be picked up at the festival on 9th and 10th December on presentation of the ticket.

Prices on the day:
– Mint: € 3, –
– Festival glass: € 3.50
– Chaudfontaine blue: € 2.50

Each day starts from 13:00.

 

Christmas Market

Haarlem Christmas Market will once again take place over a whole weekend! (9th and 10th) Three hundred festive Christmas stalls can be found in and around Grote Markt square and various shopping streets.

Another great attraction is Kerstkorenlint, several choir performances at various locations, including Gravenzaal (Counts’ Hall) at the town hall in Grote Markt.

Haarlem’s Christmas Photo Walk

The Haarlem Photo Club organises a Christmas Photo Walk on Saturday the 9th of December 2017.

Join this unique occasion to “taste”  the real Anton Pieck atmosphere and take inimitable photos.
