The 32nd edition of the Halve van Haarlem is happening on September 25th, 2016. Haarlem’s biggest one-day sporting event attracts more than 4000 participants. Traditionally, the schedule will consist of the Half Marathon, the 10 km, 5 km, the Kids Run and the Mini Kids Run (Kabouterloop) on Sunday.
In addition to a Kabouterloop and Kids Run for the younger crowd, there are three main distances, being the 5 km, the 10 km, and a Half Marathon (KNAU certified). The routes lead runners through town, alongside forests and dunes.
While en route, there will be a total of 5 pit stops with water, sponges, and – on the Half Marathon – bananas. These will be at the finish line, for the 5 km; at the ± 5 km mark and the finish line, for the 10 km; and, for the Half Marathon, at the 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, 17.5 km, 20 km marks and the finish line. All participants will receive a bottle of a sports drink and a medallion at the conclusion of the Halve van Haarlem.
This year, the Latin School of Haarlem on Jacobijn Street will be available again for your clothing/dressing needs. This location is 250 meters away from the start/finish. You will also find the number pick-up stations and clothing intake stations. These will be available to you starting at 10am.
