If you haven’t heard, it’s Kings Day on Thursday. It’s time to drill holes into your house for that flag pole (if you haven’t already got one), grab an orange item of clothing, paint your face red, white and blue and wrap up warm because the weather is going to be shocking.
Don’t fancy traveling to Amsterdam for King’s day? Well guess what! You can stay here in lovely merry Haarlem and get lost in the crowds of very cold tourists, expats and Dutch people. (Take a hip flask, it might warm you up. Oh, and don’t forget an umbrella!)
If you’re feeling brave, check out this years agenda here in Haarlem.
Pray to the weather Gods and happy Koningsdag!
