For Advanced and Beginners.

A biography about the owner Nigel of Open Golf Zandvoort, he is an expat himself and especially for expatsHaarlem members he invited us to have a great sports event together with  likeminded golfers.

Nigel is the youngest scratch player ever at age 9 in the UK at that time. Went on to play the European tour ans several World Championship tournaments before moving to Switserland, Portugal and Germany to become teaching Pro.After meeting a Dutch girl , moved to Holland to marry her. Became  teaching pro at sereval course in Holland (amongst which the Amsterdam Old Course, Kennemer GOlf and Country Club), before starting his own operation/Golfcourse here at Open Golf Zandvoort, now more than 15 years ago.

Thank you Nigel for this opportunity!

What is the plan?

At 10 am we will come together at the reception. Our group will be split in 2 levels: Advanced or Beginners. For both there will be explanation about the golf area.

Beginners: The clinic takes about 2 hours and includes some basic techniques on the driving range and will end with one or two holes to play on the real golf course.

Advanced:  If you are an advanced you can play a great round for 2 hours and you can also take your own play set with you. Please give a short notice so they will book tee times special for the expatsHaarlem group.

After the 2 hour clinic at 12:00, both groups will come back together and we have a chance for a drink and chat together and hopefully with nice weather on the terrace with an overview over the golfcourse!

Costs: Own consumptions.

Clothing and Golfsets:

Open Golf Zandvoort is very happy to provide/ rent out the golf sets for us. For Golf clothing it is important to wear comfortable clothes, but NO training/or sportfitniss suit. For on the green grass you can have sneakers. but nothing with high heels.

Public Transport and Car:

By train to Zandvoort, 10 minutes walk next to Center Parcs. By Bus from Haarlem station, Line 81. Busstop Curiestraat/Flemingstraat , Pass left over the publicsquare, walk next to the supermarket, straight forward over the road, Go into the Thomsonstreet and follow this road, hold on to your right at the Sporthal/Sportscentre, after this it is still 5 minute walk. If you go by car there are free dan a lot of parking spaces available.
