Police shot tires in play area
On Wednesday 13 May, around 15:30, police shot the tyres of a suspect’s car that drove off in Mathilde Wredestraat in Haarlem. The car stopped on the lawn of a play area where, according to witnesses, children were playing at that time.

According to a police spokesman, no one was injured. Local residents say the children were housed with a local resident. They said that five or six shots were fired. There are also bullet holes in the car door. The suspect was arrested. The police had gone to the suspect’s address in connection with an ongoing investigation. When the officers tried to speak to the man, he tried to flee in the car.

A resident of the area sent expatsHaarlem the following video with the scene of the arrest.
