‘Real’ winter is coming

It seems more like it’s still fall today but ‘real’ winter is on its way and will arrive tomorrow in the Netherlands. You can even pick up the skates out.

Snow and ice at the end of the week

Don’t forget your gloves when you get on a bike the upcoming days because there is wintry weather coming in the Netherlands. Fortunately some sun will shine, but also freezing temperatures, snow, ice and fog will hit the Netherlands by the end of this week.

In the weekend it is getting colder, the temperature will fluctuate around zero.

From Monday, a ridge of high pressure will reduce the risk of snow and there will be some sunshine. The wind will move to the south east, bringing in colder air and blue skies. Monday and Tuesday we should all be dressed in warm sweaters. During the day the temperature is just above freezing and the night the temperature can drop to minus eight degrees Celsius. Brrr.
