Thron is a successful 1984 piece by choreographer Krisztina de Châtel and the German artist VA Wölfl. With an entirely new cast, VA Wölfl’s original décor and the slightly modified composition by Patricio Wang, Thron has stood the test of time. Indeed, it has become a classic of Dutch modern dance, a meditative piece in a time of chaos for today’s audiences to discover.

DISCONNECT is an audio-visual performance about the engineered human being and its value towards imperfection. With NACHTHEXEN I Van Daele kicks off a cycle that highlights heroines throughout the history of the world. This creation is inspired by the Russian night bombing regiment Taman during World War II, that consisted of women only – from pilots to technicians. Using light glider airplanes, they successfully bombed German defense lines.
