Vijfhoekkunstroute 2023 – expatsHaarlem

The 2023 Vijfhoekkunstroute 2023 (Pentagon Art Route) is on 13 and 14 May from 12:00 to 17:00 hours.

Haarlem artists will exhibit their work in the Haarlem district of the Vijfhoek during the weekend of 13 and 14 May. Visitors will walk through one of Haarlem’s most beautiful and pleasant neighbourhoods during this art route. The route will include the Proveniershof with a sculpture garden, music and poems.

The central overview exhibition is in the Nieuwe Kerk, where one work by each artist will be on display. Exhibition locations can be recognised by the Pentagon Art Route pennant and perhaps a ladder next to the door this year. A catalogue is also available, containing a photo of a work by each artist, poems and a map with exhibition addresses of the route. This catalogue has now become a real collector’s item.

On Friday 12 May at 19:30, the Vijfhoek Art Route will start with a festive parade.
It will start at the Raaks Halle (Drossestraat 2) and lead to the Nieuwe Kerk, where the Vijfhoek art route will be opened at about 8 pm. This parade will, of course, be themed around the theme of Sky Stormers.

Children

Children from 6 years onwards and adults can help solve an art robbery during the art route. In cooperation with Let’s Escape Haarlem, an escaperoute will be set up this year. This escaperoute will lead participants past various works by participating artists. By puzzling, making connections and looking for hidden clues, participants will solve the mystery of the missing artwork.
