Hoi! I am a storyteller, extravert nerd, and architect! I grew up in Haarlem and I love to share my enthusiasm and professional knowledge about my city.

In this fun tour we’ll walk and talk along stunning views and hidden places while you learn why Haarlem suffered for its bravery, is now progressively enjoying the good life and for centuries has been Holland’s city of flowers. You will grasp the essence of Holland and Haarlems history and culture.

Haarlem, the beautiful, captivating medieval capital of North Holland has for centuries proudly been standing in the shadow of Amsterdam. But Haarlem is much more than the “little Amsterdam without the crowds”.

In this fun tour in a small group we will discover Haarlem’s history, heroes, hofjes, habits, hidden gems and heaps more!

Come to this tip-based walking tour and I will enthusiastically show you the city in which I grew up, by blending my personal stories, academic backgrounds, knowledge as architect and storytelling experience. You will learn why Haarlem suffered for its bravery, is now progressively enjoying the good life and for centuries has been Holland’s city of flowers. You will grasp the essence of Holland and Haarlem, and like many in the world, will probably fall in love with wholesome Haarlem.

We meet at a bar (registrants will get the name, address and map in time before the walk),  and end on the Grote Markt. If people want to stay we can end with a drink together in a nice local spot.

Costs

NO COSTS REQUIRED. However, we ask €3,50 reservation costs. And of course a tip to your guide Tim is very appreciated.
