Looking for weekend fun? Join our Saturday Fun of laughter! We have a line-up of more stablished and and new local and international talent. With a line-up of established names and new talent from all over the world.

This edition in the little theatre of boutique hostel Hello I am Local again :-).

Featuring Odette van der Molen: Winner of the Comedy Talent Award 2019, Odette van der Molen is made for the spotlights! With her self-deprecating, sharp humour and spot-on characterisations, she challenges and ridicules modern life and her generation gap, with her relatable topics.

And: Richard Walker; Egor Fufachev, Fakhry Faisal, José Cortes, Caroline d’Angelo.

Comedians

Odette van der Molen

Winner of the Comedy Talent Award 2019, Odette van der Molen is made for the spotlights! With her self-deprecating, sharp humour and spot-on characterisations, she challenges and ridicules modern life and her generation gap, with her relatable topics.

With her delightful Dutch accent, Odette is likely to kill the Queen’s English on the spot, but you won’t mind, as she’ll make up for it!

Odette joined the English-speaking comedy scene in recent years and already is making a name for herself, leaving expats and tourists in stitches. She plays frequently in the comedyshows at Boomchicago and Comedycafé Amsterdam.

She can be sharp, honest, and direct, not sparing herself one single bit, and not entirely free of any self-embarrassment. Odette effortlessly connects with her audience in both a charming and playful way!

Richard Walker

I’ve been living in Amsterdam so long I thought I was Dutch but then I looked at my pass-port and it turns out I’m British. Sorry!

Egor Fufachev

3 years in comedy. Originally from Russia. 9 years in the Netherlands. Have PhD in Chemistry.

Josè Cortes

Jose Cortes, a Spaniard living in Utrecht. Product manager during the day, standup comedian during the night. Nerd, anti-corporate and socially awkward.

Caroline d’Angelo

Caroline is a Canadian comedian based in Utrecht. In October 2023 she won the inaugural TUNA (Tiny Underground Newbie Award) comedy competition run by That Comedy Thing in Amsterdam, an honour that she has been mentioning to all friends, colleagues, and baristas she’s seen since. Her sets have been praised as ‘clever’, ‘well-structured’, and ‘I couldn’t hear anything you were saying but the audience seemed to think it was funny.’

Venue

People call me different, I think that makes me, me. I’m a local boutique hostel. Somewhere in between a laid-back hostel and a 5-star hotel. My bar is open. Local beers on draft, cocktails and barista coffee with homemade baked goods to-go. Make yourself feel at home.
