Women twice as likely to have corona vaccine side effect

Women are twice as likely as men to suffer an adverse reaction after their corona vaccination. The difference between men and women is greatest after the first shot, reports side-effects centre Lareb.

More than 27,000 vaccinated people participated in the study. Of these, the majority (62.5 per cent) were women. Lareb corrected the survey accordingly.

Compared with men, women in particular suffered remarkably more from nausea and from inflammation at the injection site. Women also took slightly longer to recover than men.
