But extra beach trains to Zandvoort

No trains between Amsterdam and Haarlem for three days

No trains will run between Amsterdam and Haarlem on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. No trains to Amsterdam Sloterdijk either. But extra beach trains will ride to Zandvoort

From June 16 to 18, ProRail is carrying out work on the tracks around Amsterdam Centraal. Due to the work, no trains can run between Amsterdam Centraal and Amsterdam Amstel and Haarlem and Amsterdam Sloterdijk.

Only local trains will run between Haarlem and Leiden on those days.

Amsterdam Station will be modified over the next seven years: platforms will be widened and extended and an additional bicycle storage facility with over 8,500 spaces will be added. This will connect to a new eastern passenger tunnel that will be three times as wide and that NS will provide with stores. On the east side of the station, the Oostertoegangsbruggen will be renewed and ProRail will build a flyover so that trains do not have to wait for each other.

Buses do run from Sloterdijk, but that easily results in a half-hour delay.

Only sprinters will run between Haarlem and Leiden on those three days.

For who wants to head to the beach, trains do run four times an hour from Haarlem to Zandvoort. Read more here.
