Houtfestival 2023

Surprising performances, film and art, and music from around the world on Sunday, 18 June 2023.

Since 1985, thousands of people have flocked to the enchanting Haarlemmerhout in June to enjoy an extraordinary mix of music, theater, visual arts, film, food and drink. This is the festival that merges with the longest day of the year.

The festival Sunday features acts on the program that have often not yet been seen and heard anywhere else in the Netherlands. With a diversity of genres and styles, such as groundbreaking world music combined with jazz, funk, disco, electronica and much more, there is a world of experiences for a wide audience. There is also the interactive children’s and family festival, where a varied and high-quality program awaits young discoverers.

The motto of this festival is “accessibility for all,” which is why there is no entrance fee and no fences fencing off the grounds.

You will find numerous bars and food trucks on the grounds, but feel free to bring your own food and drinks as well.

The Haarlemmerhout festival leads the way when it comes to sustainability. Every year they work hard to minimize their impact on the environment and the surrounding area. In 2020, the festival won the A Greener Festival Award 2019 in recognition of their efforts.

Stop by and experience for yourself this sustainable festival experience.
